If I'm understanding it correctly, if you remove the cap, the exhaust fumes will leave the car just past the headers.

Was my last crack hit too big? I think so...

Yea...but this is not good for our cars...you will lose a ton of torque, your car will be loud as hell....header dumps are designed for full race applications---drag cars have these often times, and i'm talking full tube chassis, turbo/supercharged, beasts.

I seriously wouldn't recommend putting this on your car!

Hmmm, didn't seem too street friendly. Certainly wasn't a consideration, just curious. If you're willing to indulge me got another question...

I assume removing the cat and muffler obviously reduce back pressure, but if you loose torque, what's the purpose?

Yes you lose low end torque, but you DO gain some hp and high end torque....on full built race cars, the loss of torque isn't as large as the hp that would be gained---the backpressure isn't as big a deal when you are dealing with 700, 800, or 1000 hp.

In reality, it's not so much a loss of torque but rather a rearrangement of your power band
