Hello, I'm Boyd. I'm new to this forum, but I'm not new to this world (geezer status has been achieved). Usually, I leave all maintenance items to the dealer because I grew tired of doing everything myself, many years ago.

But, technical stuff is fun, so I think I will do a bit more in that regard. I am retired, so I have a lot of flexibility. I am about to install an AUX input cable to the factory nav/stereo system, I found a useful thread on this forum, already.

Welcome, I did that aux mod in November last year, maybe it was my thread you read
PS it's cheaper to buy the jack, capacitors, resistor & shielded cable rather than the BMW kit.
