so planning on putting 19" rims on the 2006 e90 with 19x8.5 (225/35/19 tires) (fronts) and 19x9.5 (255/30/19 tires) (rears). wanna get opinions on whether to lower the car or not? or maybe just get some springs? opinions appreciated!

Usually, a drop is not required. To me, 19s without a drop looks fine, but to others, they really need that drop for aesthetic purposes.

Put the wheels on first, and see if you like it or would like it lower.

If you want to lower it, just get H&R sport springs and have them installed.

I had 19's without a drop and didn't plan on lowering it. Then after a while, the gap bothered me so I ended up getting some coilovers. I agree with hosagod. Just have the wheels put on first and then decide if you want to drop it (but a drop would definately compliment your ride nicely).

I'm going thru the same thing right now. Just installed my 19's lastweek. Planning on during Coilovers next month.

I would really recommend the Eibach sportline over the H&R springs. The drop is more than the H&R race, and unlike the H&R race it gives you an even drop so the rear isn't waaay higher then the rear, like the H&R.
