I just got my chrome rings in...will my service indicator reset by unpluging the unit from the dash when i take it out to install the rings? I need to know.

I don't think it would. Lots of people have done that mod and I haven't read anything like that.

Your service indicator setting will remain intact. Feel free to unplug it and install the rings. I only had to reset my clock when I plugged it back in (also the average MPH, MPG etc were reset).
