A list of front end torques that I wrote up and printed out when overhauling my front end. It saved me some time and I thought maybe it could save somebody else some time as well, or help someone out who doesn't have a Bentley.


Outer tie rod end to steering arm self locking nut……48 ft lbs
Outer tie rod end lock nut………………………………………..33 ft lbs
Upper strut mount to body……………………………………...17 ft lbs
Upper strut mount to strut shaft…………………………..…47 ft lbs
Strut to steering knuckle………………………..……………….60 ft lbs

Nice list!

It should be mentioned that these specs may vary (per the TIS) for M3, Xi, or non-US spec cars. These, and many others, are listed in Lb/Ft and Nm on our torque spec card. We sell the card alone for $5.00 shipped, but tend to include it free with many purchases.

thanks, just finished swapping my struts and springs and needed the spec's
