Hi all,

I've been silent for a while on these forums. Why? Because my Fern Green 330ci has been brilliant. All my preventative maintenance has paid dividends now.

So what's better than owning one aging European car? owning two!!

Introducing my 2006 BMW (E87) 130i M Sport 6 Speed Manual

3L straight 6 engine with a 6 speed manual.
Xenon headlights
Sunroof
Front + rear PDC
Upgraded HiFi system

Seller who I bought it off was replacing it with an M140i

Works done in the last 12 months by PO
-RR window regulator
-General service (oil change + filter, tyre rotation)
-brake flush
-Valve cover gasket
-Sump gasket + bolt set
-Coolant replacement
-Eccentric shaft sensor seal

I was happily driving it for a week when all of a sudden "Engine temperature warning"

Long and behold, the electric water pump let go. Fortunately, I was 2 mins from home so got it home before limp mode kicked in. That's where it sat for 3 weeks whilst I sourced parts/time

Got the water pump and thermostat changed so all is well.

Here's the two together

I'll be keeping both of them, 130i as the daily and the 330ci as the weekender.

Future plans?
-Hard wire dashcam install
-New single din headunit with bluetooth streaming
-New tyres (these ones hum) probably Michelin Pilot Sport 4's like I've got on the E46
-Restore head lights from yellowing
-Paint brake calibers baby blue

For some reason I can't upload photos, I get a BLOCKED message from the forums.

So I cleared my Cache and tried embedding images through Flickr (like i've done for years) didn't work. Then tried doing it in Imgur, didn't work. Has something changed? Before I could just embed the URL in from Flickr no stress. Now I'm getting blocked

**EDIT sorted now**

Nice 1 series. My driving school started me off with a diesel E87, so I have a soft spot for these. Can't imagine what it must feel like with the 3L straight 6!

I've always loved the idea of a hot hatch. Been eyeing off a Mk6 golf GTI for a while to replace my 330ci, but the hit/miss reliability online and both through friends I couldn't stomach it.

I stumbled upon this 130, didn't even have the intention of buying a new car. But every car review praised it's RWD nature and spirited fun with a manual gearbox, I knew I at least had to test drive it

Self isolating Easter long weekend means I can but out the clay bar and wax. I've only washed this since I bought it, so I was curious to see the condition of the paint

And that was from just doing the roof...

After the clay bar was done, hit it with some wax

A very empty Perth city

Next weekend will be the E46's turn
