I just changed my RTABs in my m3 using the autozone loaner tools and it was a PITA. I spent hours. I wish I rented a specific tool like this to save me the anguish.

I know the feeling :facepalm:

That's how I ended up buying the RTAB tool. So much better. :thumbup:

Did you get your RTAB's out though?

Yes i did. i blue taped up the tools so it wouldn't fall apart on me. Then those split casing rtabs are as much of a pain or more to insert. i even used us a hose clamp and had an impact gun.

Glad you figured it out. I definitely learned my lesson after a couple of hours messing with it. Doh!
