Yesterday I found dried coolant sprayed all on the top of the air filter box. Could the leak be from the expansion tank cap? Is there supposed to be an o ring on it?
Drive it to operating temp, then park and remove the air filter box, radiator fan, and look for where the pressurized coolant leaking. the cap has 2 o-rings and one flat gasket.

Was hoping to be done today..... but... I was being a little too confident, boy you weren't kidding about that lower hose and the expansion tank!
Lower hose connected to Tstat and lower right of radiator? That should be like eating cake. Or do you mean the lower hose to the tank bracket? We don't call that smaller hose as "lower hose" which is reserved for radiator lower hose.
The whole thing might look easy, but not breaking things and no leak result is the challenge. Don't just try to pull the tank up off the bracket, as it can be hard and break your back, or the bracket. I used a falt screwdriver wedging between the tank bottom and the bracket to separate them.
Don't forget to lube the male part and the o-ring with grease before assemble together.

I did find something weird that maybe y'all can shed light on. This hose goes into the expansion tank. Pretty sure its not supposed to be split like that. What is it called and why would they do that?
This is a full explanation from the previous owner who worked on it.
The power steering reservoir hose leaking and the fluid dropped on the said hose connector which connected to the tank. The ATF caused the the said hose o-ring swelled and leaking. He tried to replace the hose but couldn’t remove it from the hard plastic pipe which connected to the water pump rear side, so he cut the bad end and spliced in half a new hose using a galvanized T he found in the toolbox .

He can see that power steering hose wetted with ATF. Keep the fluid off the coolant hose!!!

Is this my Heater Hose?
You're right, that said hose with the T added is the long hose from the tank rear to the cooled side of the heater core (red arrow in pic). I was wrong thinking the hose connected to the tank bottom bracket and to the back of the WP housing.

Best way to remove hose from heater core port: Unscrew the clam and slide it away. Use two large flat screwdrivers to wedge between the hose end and the firewall, and work it out. Be careful not to dent the soft heater port which can leak.

@Sapote does the ATF look bad? Or is it just build up?
That power steering hose looks original old one connected to the bottle. If it feels hard like a rock then it is leaking and should be replaced to save the coolant heater hose from damaged.
To check for ATF leak: fold up some paper towel and wedge it between the hose and top of alternator -- tight so wind won't blow it off. Check paper for oil wet after 1 week. To remove ATF hose, you need to remove the left headlight for more space to pull it off with the Quick Connect, the white plastic release ring probably crumbled by now. Ask me if it is crumbled and how to work it out.
