Here's their development timetable..
http://www.esstuning.com/dev.html

Systems currently under development at ESS
Product Est. Release Date
1997-2002 Z3 2.0/2.3/2.5/2.8/3.0 SC systems September 2003
2001-2003 E46 M3 420HP and 550HP performance kits July 2003
1998-2000 US M Roadster/Coupé 3,2 VT Gen II System (7PSI) September 2003
2000-2002 X5 4.6 VT System (6PSI) Released
1996-1999 M3 3,2 Euro VT Gen II system (4,5PSI) April 2003
1999-2003 MB 240/280/320/350 V6 SC systems November 2003
1999-2003 MB 430/500/55AMG NA V8 SC systems May 2003

Can't wait!!! ESS has had good success with SCs on the E46.. maybe they figured out a safe way to supercharge the M3 (maybe lower the compression ratio via OBDII?)

I heard stage 1 won't require any internals.. while stage 2 (550HP) will require engine internals upgrades...

how much will stage one cost?
They haven't said... I hope it'll be cheap.. keep in mind stage 1 will also include ECU REMAP... ESS is known for doing a good job on maximizing the ECU OBDII settings.

looks good... people always talk about using FI on their M's... but no one has looked at the G-Power unit, who's stage 3 (i think) puts out 525hp. can anyone tell me why G-Power is passed over every time, when considering FI?

Usually people look at products that other people have run.. I have heard of happy customers with ESS E46 SuperChargers so I am interested in their M3 solution.

RMS has one for the E46 M3 but I know of nobody running one. I have heard of NOONE running G-Power's unit either.

Is anyone out there running either? I would love to hear about it.

i thought i saw the price for G-Power's 525hp unit at $10k. thats more than the units for the non-M E46, but i had no idea that it was $26k!! wonder if that includes any internal upgrades
