right now I have an Escort 8500 X50, but I was thinking about upgrading to the 9500i. Is there really a huge difference between the two? I love the X50 but the GPS of the 9500i sounds pretty insane. Is it really worth the 400+ dollars that it costs? Has anyone made this jump yet and if so what do you think about it? Lastly, is there really much of a difference between the Escorts and Valentine?

I just got the 9500i, there are 3-4 of those radar signs around trying to get people to slow down..very cool to lock them out. You hit the mute button three times and no more annoying false alarms. I wanted the 9500ix, because I'm planning on getting the zr4 jammer. Its $500 more, and another $500 minimum to install properly. One quote was $1400 in labor! I might not even buy the jammers, I've had it for a few weeks, and I haven't encountered a laser yet. The ix is supposed to be a lot more sensitive than the i.

personally.. i dont think it's worth it. You shouldn't really be speeding on city roads... which is where the new 9500i is mostly utilized. I only bring out the 8500 on the freeway... from there... i only pay attention to the Ka signals... which is highway cops...

I've used all the top brands, and V1 came out on top and is still the king. As Mike Valentine says, once you've had the arrows, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them. I've seen people get tagged from behind with an escort because they didn't know where the radar was coming from.

have a V1 and love it, just turn the volume down during my commute since i keep it cool on the daily travel.
im looking to get either the zr4 or blinder jammers

V1 w/concealed display all the way. You won't regret it.
