I was wondering if anyone had some information on dropping an E46 M3 engine into my 2000 323i. I will be looking to do this after my warranty from BMW expires. If you know anyone who has done this, I would appreciate any info on where they bought their engine, what they did with their old engine, if they did the install themself, etc. Thanks!

if you are gonna put the time & money into the m3 engine swap, you might as well do the m5 swap(not much more expensive than the m3). someone on this board said that all of them are the same so it IS possible, except this way you have to upgrade brakes and suspension.

Not worth the money to try and integrate the drive by wire throttle. Better off tuning the engine you have now.

The 3.2L stroker kit from RD puts out 314 HP for the 323 for example.

That's very nice. How much for the kit + installation total? :)
