My borther has his '01 330 intake left here, and was wondering if I can fit that on my '04 325? I saw on the website the filter was an 1" shorter, but is that all?

No, the MAF hole on the 330 is bigger than on the 325.

yes you can fit the 330 cai in a 323/5...ive done it.....all you have to do is get the reducer coupling...i bought mine at home depot

No, it WON'T work!

Putting any type of reducer BEFORE the HFM has been shown to hurt performance.

Again, we do not advise putting any type of coupler or reducer BEFORE the HFM on ANY BMW model.

Do it right and get the correct intake for your car.

There is only one size that fits your 330. Not a problem, and plenty in stock.

when i go to order online all it says is E46 filter replacement (99-02)$40 It makes NO mention of 330 or 325? How do i know if i order i will get the 7" and not the 6" if i ca not specify it? can u explain/help me understand??
