Hi all
I am considering changing my out my stock headlights for some projector lenses with angel eyes. Im pretty new in the DIY category, Ive swapped out tail lights, installed a cold air intake and changed my brakes but other than that I'm still learning. Ive been looking at projector headlights from ebay and have found a couple I liked from GT Racers and XR Team:

I have also been looking at the Projector46 lights from JleviSW.com but I can't determine if they are selling the whole headlight similar to the ones on ebay or if they are selling a mod kit to use with my existing headlight shell. Has anyone had any experience with the projector46 lights? Do they come as whole headlights or not?

Has anyone installed the projector headlights from GT Races or XR Team? It seems like an easier install but I don't want to go that way if I will get error messages or they're unreliable.

I was also looking at these headlights from Racing Guys:

They have an amber turnsignal eyelid. Has anyone installed these on their e46? If so, I would be really interested to see pics of the finished product.

Any recomendations anyone has on how to proceed with the lights would be appreciated.
Thanks

The first two are not DEPO headlights so you risk quality, fit and finish. They are more affordable but we prefer DEPO and only stick to their brand for headlights because they are proven in terms of the fit, function and quality of materials.

The last headlight you linked to are the 1 piece headlights. I am not sure if they have improved but when they were first released, several people tried them out and had issues fitting the side to the fender. There were gaps that required modification to have it fit correctly.

Ebay is an option if you want to save some money but if you want a complete and proven kit, I recommend a set of our Projector46 Headlights.

are P46's plug and play?
yes, they are completely plug and play from Umnitza. the ballasts we provide have error canceling in them, there is no need for external boxes or anything like that.

i understand with prefacelifts, you can just remove a certain fuse, no reflash needed.
Yes, fuse 32. This is not 100% perfect solution, but it does often work. This is for 99-01 E46s (sedan or coupe) only.

there nice lights, shame they're so freakin expensive though
Depends on options, feel free to give us a call if you need a specific quote and E46 package discount.

Our recommendations of course center around our lights, brighter than any out there for angel eyes, and the most reliable (as far as angel eyes goes), and also the best in terms of error canceling.

We make our own products for this - except using the DEPO projector as the basis. Our product does not cause errors also.
