It should be pretty similar to the current M3. The M5 was released at roughly the same price points as the previous outgoing M5 and the higher cost can also be justified by the fact that they included alot of the option 5-series options as standard. So probably in the $50K range I imagine.

I don't agree the price will stay even. BMW needs to get closer to the Audi RS4 V8, and therefore I predict BMW pricing to hover around $65-$70k optioned out. V8's are MORE money. This will help the resale on the E46's, like the latter's release helped the outgoing E36.
