I'm racing my friend who drives the E36 M3. He has a custom intake that another friend of mine made for him. He has a watevers exhaust, and has Nitro. Will i get burned?

do you guys both drive manual? if so, the one who drives best and gets the best launch will win, assuming he's not running a really high NOS shot system. I'm guessing he probably using a system that adds another 100 HP which brings him into the E46 M3 HP range...still though, he'll only engage the boost at the higher RPMs whereas you'll have the power at all RPMs.

The odds are against the E46 M3.
Damn, those are impressive dyno #'s on the E36 M3. It's probably because the car was so detuned from Euro-spec, just adding bpu nets big gains I guess.

it would be a close race..if he shoots right after he get traction..i lost 5 car lengths to an old mustang..later that week went to buy a nitros setup and took him by 5 cars with my integra..

What kind of nitrous set-up... dry kit, wet kit, direct port... too many unknowns to answer the question. If he's running a direct port set up which he should be if he's concerned about safety and longevity then you will lose. For a six cylinder he should be running a 100 shot which will translate into approx. 100-120 additional wheel hp and even bigger gains in tq.

Is anyone here running a nos setup in their E46 right now? Where could I get some really dependable info on nitrous?

I wouldn't call it detuned. try a differant engine for the most part. They got double VANOS and
we got single. ;) just my 2 cents
