Hi folks, this is my first thread here.

So, recently I went through a misery, I could not find any responsible threads/DIY's for this conversion, so I started investigating: lots of PN's and stuff (thanks BMWFans.info and ECSTuning)

I chose OEM, I don't trust replica bumpers. Loose fit, sh*tty ABS plastic, etc. :thumbdwn:
Anybody interested, scan through my post:

M Sport Exterior includes the following:
  • Front bumper:
    - fog lights and covers (I went for Aftermarket fogs, they're perfect | Cover PN: 51 11 7 893 067 & 51 11 7 893 068)
    - brake ducts (PRE FL won't fit, PN 51 71 7 896 407 & 51 71 7 896 408)
    - grille, grille's adapter (PN 51 11 7 893 062 & 51 11 7 896 273)
    - gasket (PN 51 11 8 191 149)
    - license plate holder
For the front conversion, you'll need the following:
    - You have to get rid of the old bumper guides, install the new ones: PN 51 11 8 195 295 & 51 11 8 195 296
    - Bumper carrier is the same for all bumpers, just reinstall it with pop rivets.

  • Rear bumper:
    - including diffuser (mine is wrapped w/ carbon vinyl) and its water deflector
For the rear conversion, you'll need the following:
    - Get rid of the whole bumper guide, from one wheel to the another. (Yes, you won't need any of this.) Install the new ones: PN 51 12 8 195 321 & 51 12 8 195 322

  • Side skirt:
    - This is the easiest part, the only thing you need is 2 plugs: PN 51 16 2 239 737
    - Feel free to use the existing rivets again, or buy new ones: PN 51 11 8 174 185

  • Spoiler lip:
    - OEM Adhesive from BMW: PN 51 71 7 901 759 (Though you can choose some other brand, 3M maybe, I went for the best.)
    - Installing is pretty easy, just make sure the gaps are fine!
    - The worst part is getting rid of the existing adhesive on the used spoiler. :censor:

  • Wheels:
    - Style 135 M Wheels, repainted w/ OEM BMW A 55 Color code.

Feel free to ask anything unclear! ;)

All in all, my grand total was approx. 1500-1600$ with wheels. I did the full conversion myself, so count your Indy's wage. (I live in Hungary - Europe, all stuff bought here.)

Note: this is for a FACELIFTED Coupe!

Nice job! Sounds like you got all the parts at a good price too, especially considering everything is oem.

Is the rear diffuser attached to the bumper with the same rivets that the side skirts use?

Thanks guys! Rear diffuser is attached with 5 screws on the bottom, and clips on top. See picture:
