It will definitely be tough to source another one like this. This is why I'm surprised. Probably an E46 M3 would be a feasible option if you are shooting for more gadgets/options and power.

I keep scanning mobile myself, but I always end up realizing how good my package is: 25i coupe, individual creme leather interior in mint condition, carbon black metallic finish, H/K sound system, moonroof, M package from the factory, electric seats with memory, style 135 rims, xenon headlights. Ok, I miss the 30i engine, but that's about all. Not that I use the car for street racing.

E46 M3 will be interesting of course.
In real life if i want similar condition E46 M3, i have to pay lets say 35.000euros.
It is almost 20.000euros more than my car, and prices are already going up.
So that is difficult to decide what i will do.

Btw. Dennis do you have project thread about your car?
2.5i M54 is fine for normal driving, 3.0i provides just little bit more torque and top power. My previous sedan facelift was 325i.

I miss it only for the badge. :p Other than that the car really is top of the line. Only God knows why the original owner did not opt for the 30i engine back in 2001.

No, I don't have a thread for it. I can throw in some pictures if you are interested.

Actually, when I bought my coupe, it wasn't nearly as perfect as it is now. The details weren't spot-on, but the basis was exceptional. For instance, the creme leather front seats were restored at one point. The option list was also very impressive. I knew that in the long run, I will be able to source all the small things that either went missing or simply broke throughout the years. Now 1,5 years and a massive Excel file later, things are pretty much done, it looks and feels like a well-kept youngtimer. Under the hood, it is rock solid. I love the M54 engine, be it cold or hot, it starts up and runs and pulls like a charm. If I was to move on, I would not have much of a choice. I'm staying away from direct injection and turbo when it comes to my hobby car. An E92 with an N52B30 would only have the chance to fill the void, but it's not likely to happen anytime soon.

Hi Antti, I think you reached out to me a few years ago, when I was selling my previous 330Ci on Blocket? Good to see you found a Sapphire Black gem in the end! Yours looks like a lovely example.

Best Regards,
Richard from Sweden

Hello Richard

Yep, it was me.
I remember you had that 330CI with manual box and lovely condition.
I am not surprised it was sold quick.
Do you currently have this silver one? If so, tell little details about it.

End of driving season 2019

Yesterday i drove my coupe to winter garage.
Car will be there until May 2020.
Weather forecast is all about raining, and autumn is already in the air.

I have some little plans for next winter:

-Proper wash including wheel area / fenders
-Iron contamination wash
-Solvant wash
-Mild paintwork polishing with Rupes DA machine. I will use finishing compound Scholl S30+ / Finishing pad Chemicalguys hexlogic black.
There is so few swirls from washing, there is really not so much to do with machine.
-Oil change. I like to replace oils 1/year no matter kilometers.
-Small order for www.bmwautoparts.net, i have list of parts i will replace.
I am still considering if i will buy new c pilar trims as there is little bubbles in trim. Interior is so mint and perfect i would like to replace those.

I will update this thread when winter goes on and there is something new.
I am happy to say there was ZERO problems in 2019. It was really reliable, and i hope next summer will be also trouble free.

Sheets fresh and clean from washing machine.

Based on the todo list this car is clearly done. Antti you should move onto a next project car. How about an E38 750i?

Looks fabolous as always. Too bad the season is already over.

Yep, really there is nothing mandatory to do. Little tweaks.
If i sell this maybe E90 or F30 generation BMW for 12months/year driving..
Yep summer is short here. September is all about raining and in october we usually have first snow. I am already waiting for may 2020.

Austin, Texas here. Home of COTA.
The "Winter Season" means going to the lake, and keeping your shorts on.

Awesome 330ci !

Yep you are lucky there with warm weather 12 months per year.
Our summer is 2 months.

I thought your daily driver was your 316i. Or is that one up for sale as well?
No, 316i is only for wintertime now.
I only have 1 garage where i live. I keep one car in insurance per season.
Currently i am driving Clio 197 Mark 3, and both E46 are off road insurance.

Heading out this week to find my replacement / upgrade.
The "daily" is closing in on the graveyard.
I'll find out when I return.
Just another reason to drive the Tacoma until the wheels fall off.

Hello E46 fanatics! Small updates from my garage.

330CI has been now almost 3 months in winter storage.
First job was to remove wheels and wash wheel area.
There was not so much for washing, only warm water from hose was enough to clean.
I drove approx 1400miles/2300km in last summer.

Last winter when car was in garage, i found out that i need to replace front inner wing + brake cooling duct for right side.
I think there has been small hit like rabbit or something before my ownership.
I bought new parts from BMWautoparts.net (Lithuania), this company sells original parts.
Lets update this thread after new parts are arrived and installed.

Some quick pics with S10 ultrawide mode.

Rabbit hair is all you found? No wasp nests or bee hives? Your under carriage seems in fine condition.
Your shrouds looks in much better shape then any of mine do. Most of mine are held in place with good ole zip-ties.
I usually ending up bleeding when trying to replace fog lamps, since I rarely use gloves.
It's not about me though. Keep doing what you're doing. Looks "all ready" to me.

Good to see some updates on this beauty. Mine has been put away for a week now, but the preparation for next season has already begun.

Hi
Yep, no anything strange but some broken fixings. So i thought, maybe rabbit or something destroeyd those.

Hi
Yep, more updates will follow after parts are delivered.
I am happy to hear your car is also in winter storage. Lets keep E46 cars safe from winter...

6 sets of tires?
Huh what?

Thinking of selling my ZHP factory wheel set for possible lightweight 17" APEX or similar.
Which means, I gotta find the right tire as well.
Not an easy find, or the prices are almost out of reach.
bleeding $.

Also,
ISO heatable yellow lens film. I found one supplier that wants $10 for a 12"x2" sheet, but $20 to ship it. wtf? I'll keep looking.
And, "insert tubing" for hidden led setup to mount behind the kidneys.
