Goverment inspection + emissions check passed without any faults

Today was time to drive car for inspection center.
Inspection which they do in Finland is very detailed.
It takes usually 30minutes. They basically dig everything and try to find any faults your car have. Or rust.
Before inspection check i took my car for friend who rebuilded parking brake system.
All old parts were completely worn out and seized. Now parking brake is perfect. Inspetion officer agreed.
He told me that my E46 is really nice condition and give it accepted stamp.
Now i have 12 months of time to drive with this car before next check must be completed.

Today was time for winter tyres: Nokian Hakkapelitta 9 studded 205/55/16.

Forecast for next week:
-4 celsius freezing + snow.

Nice job to change tyres with proper Bahco jack & Milwaukee electric impact wrench.

Again, probably the cleanest "winter beater" I've seen
Thanks man!

This has been interesting car.
2017 i thought i will drive only 1 winter. Then i buy E90 LCI for example.
Now it is almost 2020 year and i still have this car. It is nice to drive and warm in our cold winter.
Perfect if we speak about reliability. ZERO problems since my friend replaced diff seals 1 year ago.

Hello E46 fanatics!

Dark and grey days here in near arctic circle. Sunset is 15 pm.
Daily driving with this sedan E46, just "wash and go".
0 faults, problems or error lights.. :)
I dont know what is going on, but after last winter this car have had ZERO oil consumption.
When my father had this car we had to top up oil between oil changes.
Maybe piston rings are moving better because i drive dynamically.. :D

Replaced wiper blades with Bosch AR728S kit.
I recommend this Bosch wiper kit, fitment is perfect for E46.
Old genuine BMW blades was fine for 3 winters, but those are much more expensive. Bosch kit was approx 35$/30euros.

Quick wash this morning.

Pictures after wash & Bead juice

Rear brake pipes failed near fuel tank.

When i found out that brake reservoir was in minimum level, i was quite sure rear pipes are leaking.
I drove car for my friend who have lift. He did new pipes. Fuel tank was lowered so new pipes are in original fixings. Done properly.

List what was fixed:

-Rear brake pipes from ABS-unit to rear axle
-Front flex brake hoses
-Front stabilizer drop links.
-New DOT4 brake fluid

I bought wood trim set for my E46 sedan.
This is just the first image, all fixings in dashboard have to be replaced.
More pics when installation is completed.
I polished all swirls and scratches off from wood trim with rotary machine & scholl compound.
Waxed with collinite 915 carnauba wax.

ps. price of the wood trim set was 24 pack of beer.

Fresh front TCA bushes + alingment + oil service

New bush kit for front traction control arms. (TRW).
I put Castrol Magnatec C3 5W-40 full synthetic oil (LL-04 spec).
Oil change interval was 11months / 5800kilometers.

After new bush fitment, was time to drive car for front/rear axle alingment.
Now it is very good to drive with new summer tyres.
Unfortunately next week it will be snowing again, i have to drive with another car which has stud tyres.

Another pic from fine wood trim
