Fellow Bimmer peeps. I accomplished a manual swap on my e46. All seems well and basically is, however, when I went to do the coding for the swap I successfully removed the $205 module (auto trans) the problems came when I reflashed all the other modules, particularly the MK60. I now have the Brake light (red, not the yellow parking light) and the DSC light on permanently. I was able to re-align the steering wheel using INPA, but the problem didn't go away.

Additionally, I have to codes P1889 and P1895. Unfortunately, the guy that does my Smog check will not pass me with those codes. I've cleared them repeatedly and they keep coming back.

Please, any advice/solutions? Thank you all...

I found that by disconnecting the transmission cables from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) located in the electrical box located on the driver's side next to the master cylinder I was able to get rid of the DSC and Brake light issue. Once you remove the cover on the black electrical box in my case with torx screws you can lift the levers on the Blue connectors that lock the cables to the TCM. That should take care of the DSC and yellow brake lights on the dashboard.

Edster66, I also did a manual swap. Mine is an 01 330ci and the donor manual parts were from a 00. I also have my yellow DSC light on but NO brake light. I do have a yellow tpms light but still unsure if it's related.

My question to you is, what is your wiring arrangement? Did you keep and use the auto harness or did you use the harness that came from the manual car?
