Not another 'vs.' thread right? I know what your thinking. But, I am curious about which one is quicker:

1994 325is manual - completely stock

or

2002 330ci auto - with CAI

obviously the manual tranny will have the auto off the launch, but once the 330 starts going it's gonna catch up (real quick)

also no CAI pure stock with 19" HRE rims. And I'll give you two cars head start.

not really, just have the auto car powerbrake to 2000rpms, and it will take off fast!!

The old 325 had far too tall gearing for its engine. (I had a '94.) It was about as quick, maybe a little slower than a current 325 manual.

The old E36 328iS would take the 330 though..the manuals did 0-60 in the mid 6's...they were in fact, a hair quicker than the E46 328Ci
