is the procedure the same? (except for the oil of course....I know it uses the 10W-60 instead of the 5W-40).:dunno: :dunno:

To the best of my knowledge ...

1) dipstick off
2) insert oil extractor into dipstick until you hit oil pan
3) pump out
4) replace filter

Thats it, right guys?

That's it, but its worth noting to ensure the new ring on the oil filter is fitted correctly.

It's "slightly" different, as I did a joint oil change along with m3fan8ic's M3, the oil filter housing is completely different as the hex fitting on the top for the 325/330 is HUGE (don't remember the exact size, but at least 1" diameter I think) and connected to the cap of the filter housing while the M3 has an actual bolt that's removed and secures it. Word of advise, make sure that u've got the tools beforehand... we ended up making 5 trips to Walmart to get parts. :banghead:

One more thing, the M3 actually takes "less" oil than the regular 3-series, kinda surprised me but check your manual to make sure you've got enough, mine takes around 6.5 quarts.

Good luck!
