I have just got a Diamond Audio 10" Sub (Dual 4 Ohm voice coils) and a DLS 2 channel amp. The shop I got it from wired the sub in series. Does this mean my Sub is running at 8ohm and hence when it goes into the amp, bridged, the amp sees the 8ohm load and runs at 4 ohm so I am not getting the max power from the amp?

Also, If I run it in parallel, so it becomes a 2 Ohm load into the amp, the amp will run at 1 Ohm... how stable at DLS Classic series amps at 1 ohm??

Also, how do I get more bass from the trunk into the car (I have a 323 I SE 4 door (E46)....

Thanks

The Specs of the amp say if running bridged mode, use minimum 4 Ohm since the amp will recognise this as a 2 ohm load... looks like I need to change the sub to a dual 2ohm, or single 4ohm... or change the amp.

Also, does anyone have pics and dimensions of installs of single subs in their E46's... I will probably want to kick out my ski hatch too....
