I don't think I noticed it before for some reason, but my car has the "bonus roll" that is common in most GM/Ford cars, when the car is in Park and the e-brake is engaged.

Am I just getting lucky or is this a common "feature?"

YES! that happens to me. I'll put it in park and my car will roll.....even when I put the e-break up like half way, it will still roll......it will only stop if I YANk on the e-break all the way.

i had the same problem, the hand brake was fully engaged incredibly high, so high that it would hit the arm rest. brought my car in for inspection 1 and to my surprise, the brake was adjusted w/o me asking. now, it's fully engaged just shy of halfway and is tight at just above half way. i have to pull as hard as i can to get it 1/4 of the way up and that's as far as i can get it.

just tell the service guys that you need them to tighten your handbrake. i have a bentley manual and i'm sure it mentions how to do it in there. beyond my car knowledge and tools however.
