I took it easy during the break in period, and after that I began to drive the car a little bit harder. I think driving the car easy during the break in period helped because it massaged the new engine and now it performs like a dream!!

I tend to drive it alot harder now but I still get an average of 20.7 miles to the gallon!!

I'm in the "second" break in period...around 2000miles

Am I suppose to drive hard, WOT? or just keep the rev to around 4k??

It's fun to drive hard, but gas price way too high:banghead:

I use to drive it hard a lot then since I haven't been allowed to drive it the past 3 weeks I stepped in it yesterday and never had to go over 3500 rpms and the thing felt so fast and confident.

I rarely drive it hard. I work the suspension pretty good (through corners), but I generally don't put a whole lot of stress on the motor or brakes. I've never baked the tires.

a serious reply

I often drive HARD...
I love to take the car to 99% of it's limit....
Where I live there are fantastic road (hill, lot of turn, etc etc)

but you'll never know which is the true limit of you and your car....

the only way to know it ,is to.......risk...... or you win or you lose....

I've always felt sure for what I was doing.... but the unforeseen is always present.....

I destroyed my ride... but i'm safe.....

that's why I post this first "serious" message...

always wear seat belt, do not drink&drive (or smoke&fly ;) ),
and try to drive hard when/where you will not involve any other person.....

listen to me......

.....Am I becoming an adult????

I definitely drive faster than most, and drive aggressive(not reckless), but I do my best not to beat on my car. I don't pop the clutch, try not to redline it. Love throwing it through corners, and taking off-ramps at a good clip. I'd say I drive it "semi-hard," because I know it could take alot more than I give it.

drive it the way you want to. if you want to redline everytime you merge onto a highway do so. believe me bmw's can handle it. I mean isnt that the reason that we all have them????

i drive my car relatively hard, but only after it's warmed up. :) but i hate how it makes all these whining noises and stuff. it makes me feel like i broke it but i know im just worrying too much.

I drive it hard everytime I feel like I need a good challenge or as BMW "The Doctor recomends that you elevate your heart rate everyday."

Yesterday, I got tired of waiting to merge on the freeway, so I said F#%k, put it in step mode and floored it all the way home:thumbup:

anyway...aggressive driving is within human nature.....

and isn't a question of redline or burning tires......

is just 1/4 of adrenaline
2/4 of passion
1/4 of HP

shake it well/ serve chilled......

You drive the car 99% of your limits :D. Unless you are a pro driver, which disregard my statment.

If I want to drive hard, I take it to the track.

my bumper had to be replaced

def. NO racing.. in track or outside.....

just a "brilliant driving" (but S-A-F-E )
