There is probably an old thread about this, but if everyone searched for old threads instead of making new ones, then I'm sure it wouldn't do much good for forum activity.

Anyway, do you drive a manual or automatic? And why?

I drive a manual. Why? Because they're slightly more fuel efficient, the purchase cost is less, and in the UK, the availability of manual cars is greater. Also, I like the fact that I have more control of the car. I think anyone could drive an automatic car, they don't require much more skill than what it takes to drive a go-kart when it comes down to being able to control a vehicle. (Not taking into account road safety awareness and all of that)
