guys- the dude at stebro said he cant cut me a better deal on the section 1 midpipe for the m3 if i dont get the mandrel bends- is there any major difference between mandrel and not regarding performance,reliability, SOUND-as im trying to get rid of the rasp.

mandrel bends eliminate crimping in the pipe at the points in the exhaust where the pipes turn beneath the car, thus increasing exhaust flow (more power)...do you need them? no...but you won't be extracting the most from an aftermarket without them...most people look for mandrel bends when shopping exhausts; it's certainly a good thing...
