Firstly I would like to thank Team DFL, :str8pimpi,
http://teamdfl.com/bmw/e46/rear_wheel_bearing/index.html

This DIY is for those that are not willing to pay for a bearing tool. If anyone is interested I will post the parts required and the dimensions, but from the photos it should be clear.

Nice! I hope no one minds but I PDFed the pages just in case the host goes down we have a local copy. I also added the link to the DIY collection.

How difficult? and how did you compress them?
If you don't mind, could you add little bit of detail?
thanks

If you are a competent mechanical person it just takes time. The difficulty is taking your time so you do not damage the axel or hub. I will add a write up later today or tomorrow morning. I also have a new bearing, hub nut, and snap ring for sale.

Hi. I, myself, am unable to glean the specs/dimensions of the tools you used from the pics. It looks like they work though ;-)
