Anyone know if a used airbag module will work without being recoded? I am trying to avoid paying $200 to have my local indy code another module. They said they don't know if they would even be willing to code a used unit, so they wanted to get me a new one for $500. All this just to be able to communicate with the system to see why the airbag light came on in the first place!

Try to get a used one from a make and model that matches yours. I know this is an old thread and you probably already had this addressed but just FYI for anyone else looking to replace theirs.
