Just got my car, and when i press lock it just locks it. Is there anyway to make it give a beep? or even flash lights?

Did you get the factory alarm? You need that to make the sound. For the lights to flash and the clown nose to work, the dealer needs to activate it.

hmm, i didn't get the factory alarm (to my knowledge, its brand new) but therei s a red light blinking on the console as well as a red light underneath my rear view mirror

If the light under the rearview mirror is blinking then you have it, might be on silent mode or something.

Like I said it has to be activated by the dealer. Should cost around $40, but since your car is new, maybe they'll do it for free.

I would get the oem alarm though.
