Today i got my bonnet back from the painters. As you will see I got it debadged. After trying a selection of badge styles nothing suited the black colour and spoilt the lines I thought. The grille rims are also colour matched.
PS. I do like the badge on other colour E46s.

Looks beautiful. I have a jet black as well and plan to do a complete repaint. Did you do any sort of ceramic treatment?
Thanks for that,The bonnet is straight from the paint shop so i suppose they might have machine polished it. I wont be polishing it for a few weeks so its fully hardened as its cold here.
Generally it's 60-90 days to allow the paint to fully cure before any type of sealing or coating is recommended. Ask your painter for their recommendation.

There are a lot of sea gulls around here. Keeping them and their poo off it is a new challenge.

Got around to installing the new CCV pipe (VC -> CCV), what a pain in the neck to do without removing the IM. I got it done, trick was to install ccv side first cause it doesn't like to go straight on with top already in place. Consumed oil after breaking the pipe and temp fixing it with duct tape. (Shade tree tactic #23) Here's to hoping the CCV still works.

Starting to reinstall the interior. After dismantling the entire inside of the car for a complete refresh, happy to say the car is now starting to be assembled rather than disassembled. Wife drove to the gym with nothing other than the driver seat for a while, lol.

No offense but your place looks like it’s for the birds…

None taken, it's an old place. 4 walls and a roof, doesn't need to be much more than that. It was my grandmothers years ago before she passed. Driveway doesn't help the clear coat, but I'm a detailing enthusiast so it's lots of practice.

Hopefully you took my comment in jest as it was solely an attempt at a chicken joke!
None taken
Yeah absolutely, none taken at all. I know the place is for the birds. It's an old horse farm with no more horses anymore. Definitely not a modern place. Tucked in the woods of maine. I'll take a dirt driveway and quiet than tarmac and neighbors.

I’m with you there! We live in a small rural Vermont town with a steep half mile gravel/dirt/ice/mud (depending on season) driveway and we can’t see or hear any neighbors. Bliss!

did both front wheel bearings, smoked side markers with sequential leds, and a shift knob. Thanks for the fulcrum idea to get the old knob off. No smacking myself in the mouth. And I found out the driver lower control arm which looked like it had been recently replaced has a bad ball joint. So, a new one is on order. Also found out the oil leak is back, of course.

i am getting busy with the car, today i replaced the 4 ABS sensors as they were all original and one had failed causing random 1 wheel braking, all had to be hammered out and the bolts were ruined.I also fitted studs to the hubs to make changing wheels easier.

Youngest traveling with aunt and grandmother so... 700 miles to the beach with wife. Car ran beautifully; better still after the highway miles. Added LM Injector cleaner for PM. Wife claimed last vacation without kids was our honeymoon 😉. Enjoy

Got rid of the last two dash lights. The DSC and yellow Brake. Thanks to @Bali's instructions, and the Tool32, I knocked it out. So nice to be error light free.

Replaced one tail light lens, and found out the folding seats have a different trunk carpet than fixed seats. Oh well, throw that stuff away.
got a spare, with a terrible tire. I have a spare tire from when I got the main 4 replaced, so one of those is going on the spare rim.
