Lookin sharp 👌🏻
Sweet deal!Thank you.
Meguirs stuff.
The driver's side is all repainted. So, that side is nice. Just wax.
Hood is pretty beat up. Takes compound, then polish and finally a wax to bring it out.
Haha yeah, same boat here. Lots of hand buffing, polishing and waxing on black paint in the last year to revive a non bmw of mine. It looks ok but a da is in my future 🤞🏻Yeah. It does a decent job just by hand buffing. I know if I had a polishing wheel I could do some amazing stuff.
I keep saying I'm going to buy one after I get done sweating to death buffing by hand. Then never do. Lol
That’s unfortunate 😕 God speed!$300 refund. No returns. Ups wont accept my claim.
Gonna take it to my machine shop. They have a hell of a welder.
Old leather stayed on, is that right?Started on this last night.![]()
You could always sneak into a parking garage of a condo building you don’t live in and use their car wash bay ; )New battery bought at and installed by mechanic (coulda, shoulda dunnit myself, battery price was fair), new wipers, and new cabin filter (installed by me, yay!). I'll let you guess how gross the previous filter was; I bought the car almost a month ago. It's in great mechanical order otherwise, no oil lost, can't see any leaks so far, drives like a charm still.
Started to clean driver's side door card, the worst offender. Cleaned the driver's side door seal (it's a coupe), applied vinyl / leather protector and let it have a bit of a sheen, detailed a bit of the interior of said door. The door got frozen shut but luckily the passenger door not so much, so hopefully this does not happen again thanks to these steps... because my contortionist skills suck.
I so badly want to clean the engine bay but I will have to suffer for a bit more as winter has become harsher and I can't find a spot for now to do it proper.
No offense but your place looks like it’s for the birds…Got around to installing the new CCV pipe (VC -> CCV), what a pain in the neck to do without removing the IM. I got it done, trick was to install ccv side first cause it doesn't like to go straight on with top already in place. Consumed oil after breaking the pipe and temp fixing it with duct tape. (Shade tree tactic #23) Here's to hoping the CCV still works.

My flock of technical advisors. Bunch of bird brains if you ask me.
Hopefully you took my comment in jest as it was solely an attempt at a chicken joke!None taken, it's an old place. 4 walls and a roof, doesn't need to be much more than that. It was my grandmothers years ago before she passed. Driveway doesn't help the clear coat, but I'm a detailing enthusiast so it's lots of practice.
I’m with you there! We live in a small rural Vermont town with a steep half mile gravel/dirt/ice/mud (depending on season) driveway and we can’t see or hear any neighbors. Bliss!Yeah absolutely, none taken at all. I know the place is for the birds. It's an old horse farm with no more horses anymore. Definitely not a modern place. Tucked in the woods of maine. I'll take a dirt driveway and quiet than tarmac and neighbors.
