There's a thread on the Touring Section how "rare" is my Wagon? and @///Mark_D created a pretty cool spreadsheet on touring production #'s. Which inspired me to start running VIN numbers and figuring out the production numbers for E46 Convertibles. (Since I own one)

The 323Cic is rather intriguing because there's three sets of VIN Prefix for Auto's. EA8, EB and EK9. From what it seems like its Early Mid and End of Production Date. While not the case for the 325/330Cic Auto

Check your '2000 - 2003 325ci with manual' numbers. If the first VIN is actually JY40004, the Production Subtotal equals 4,226 (not 40,226), which seems more likely.
Thank you! Something seemed off when i was calculating it. Haha.

Thanks for sharing! I have numbers up to 2003, but only by model, not by color, etc.
Thatd be great if you could share those, and i can add it to the document!

So the info I have doesn't contain VINs, and I am not sure if it's Euro or All, and it looks like 323 and 325 are lumped in together.

Do you mind if I ask where your source is? I'd like to try the same thing for Z3 Roadsters.
Its mostly finding a vin prefix, and taking guesses how far it goes back (or the start), and forward to the last one built.

Its quite time consuming, and i confirm the vins via ISTA.
