Got me a second BMW.

Its a 2000 320i M Package imported from Japan.
Engine is a 2.0 M52 with 60K miles.

Here's a photo on the day i bought it.

Replaced oil and plugs on the same day. (Thats the guy I bought it from. He imports Mercs and BMWs from Japan)

Cleaned the car a little and took some photos cause I know you like photos here. ;)

...and finally, yes, its got an ///M badge. :p

i knew there would be a lot of remarks with the badge.
i hope somebody would jump in and back me up. lol
Well whats the point of having an M badge on a Non-M car... Even though it may have the mtech package, its still 320i... But if you like it, by all means leave it there. It just screams poser.

The Asian and other markets had ES, SE, M-Sport packages instead of ZPP, ZSP, ZHP, etc. that we get here. And the M-Sport package had the //M badge from the factory.

Thanks Dustin.
I was just waiting for someone to chime in.
Apparently a lot of people there in the US is having a hard time accepting the concept of an ///M package.

Keeping both cars?
Yup, the wifey drives the AW now.

I know that the M-sport packages had M badge accents (like on the steering wheel, door sills, and shift knob), but I never heard of BMW putting an M badge on the back of the actual car. Interesting that BMW did that... Never knew.

you are both 100% wrong.... this topic seems to be coming up every few years and there's always at least one person spreading this BS. Non-M cars NEVER left the factory with M trunk badging. The badge being on the car when someone first bought it might be due to the fact that the dealer put it on... but it sure as hell wasn't done on the production line.
