Congrats guys! Goes to show that huge power doesn't always win a race.

Great showing and keep up the good work.

I didn't see this thread till just right now!!

This is a quick summary of what went on for Super Lap Battle.... there is a full write up on the other forum that you can read here

We were extremely busy prior to Super Lap Battle, the car was well setup when it was NA but since we have the extra power we need to make revision to the aero/chassis setup/alignment.

We attended to as many track test days we can squeeze in to get the car dialed in, at SLB practice day we ran a 1:54.xx on old tires and were extremely happy with that time. Unfortunately we blew a coil the second session, we quickly had our friends drive over to Bakerfield BMW to pick up some coils. The new coils were installed and the car still wasn't 100%, it was was a bit choppy up top b/c we had mismatched coil packs in the car... we did as much aero adjustments to dial in the car a bit more and called it a day.

That night our guys drove up a full set of fresh coils and plugs, we got up at 4am to head to the track to swap everything out so the car is ready to go the first thing in the morning. Car was 100% and ready to go, we did a 1:55 in qualifying and of course nothing ever goes smoothly. We ran into a clutch slipping problem when the clutch got too hot, we were only able to run 6 hard laps before the clutch would slip. It was a problem that we were fighting all day, prior to our last session the car was jacked up with fans to cool down the transmission and I was down there spraying brake cleaner on the transmission case to get more cooling from the evaporation of the brake clean. We also decided to leave off one of our aero panels that covers the whole transmission off for the last session, that wasn't the best idea since it did cause the car to have a little high-speed understeer.

Luck was finally on our side... even with the car understeering we managed to run our winning/record breaking lap of 1:53.481!!! We were 0.07x away from breaking the overall track record, but were very happy with the win and the new record for FR and BMW track record.

This event has taught us much about our appreciation for our clients and friends. Without them and their relentless support, we wouldn***8217;t have been able to arrive at where we are today. Also, I want to thank our sponsors because without them, the car wouldn***8217;t be where it is.

Thanks to Bruce and the team over at PSI, they did a great job balancing the dampers and making the shocks like new with new fluids and seals. A big thank you to Danni and the team over at Race Technologies, for their endless support on our Brembo system. To Roman, at ESS for setting us up with a flawless SC kit and for the unparalleled customer service/support. To Mark and Alan, over at Pacific BMW for getting us the OEM parts we needed. Another big thank you to Fred and the team over at Evolution Racewerkes, for the last minute welding work. To the Evasive Crew, for all the help and support; not to mention all the alignments you***8217;ve done on our car for each and every track event. To James at Attic2zoo.com, for the T-shirt for our crew/staff. To Brian Kim, for providing us with some last minute parts. HUGE Thanks to Ryan Gates (gates311.com), for the fresh set of NT01***8217;s that we ran on our last session to secure our 1st place win. Last but not least, thank you to Charles Ng, for gracing us with your driving skills and taking time off your busy racing schedule to help us out!
