Hi Everyone,
Below a simple comprehensive parts list/guide for replacing the front of an e46 compact with one taken from the FACELIFT touring/sedan.
This may very well work for a pre-facelift swap but I can NOT guarantee anything.
You will need:
On the compact, remove the hood, bumper and headlights and fenders (I'm assuming theres a bunch of tutorials on the internet on how this should be done, thus im not going to explain). Continue by removing the front air duct and left and right air ducts. Now install the left and right airducts from the touring followed up by installing the front air ducts. You should now be able to reassemble the car by installing the remaining parts in any order (obviously wheel arch trim after installing the fenders)
Now you should be done, get to painting and enjoy your beautiful e46 compact (which for some reason is still bigger than the coupe and taller than the touring)
Hope this helps
