I need to get a clutch for my car and was wonder if they are all the same. my car was a 320i but i swapped the engine for a 330i into it and used the 320 clutch and was thinking i should get a 330 clutch to match the engine but will it fit in the gearbox from the 320i thanks for any answers guys

The 330 clutch diameter is greater to take the extra torque.

as in,
yes, the 330 clutch is 240mm vs 228 for the smaller engines,
yes, upgrading isn't a bad idea if yours is shot AND you're replacing the flywheel, and
yes, it should fit, as the external dimensions are very close.

THAT said, we never got a 320 over here, so I'm not POSITIVE you don't
have a different transmission- if you look at RealOEM.com you can see
if the 320 and 325 have the same gearbox. The 240mm clutch fits in the 325 'box.

I was not planning on replacing the flywheel but using the 330 clutch would that be a problem
