I bought a can of rust-oleum silver metallic spray from home depot for my black fog light covers. I also want to put a coat of clear coat for protection. can someone recommend something

just go to Pep Boys or Autozone or something. They should have some. I used it for my kidney grills, and it looked fine.

get the rustoleum clear coat at home depot for like 4 bucks. then proceed to do light coats on your fog holders until half of the can is gone but make sure not to let anything drip. I clear coated my black headlight trims and they look glossier than my paint. pretty much looks like my headlight trim is black glass. if u use this stuff right it comes out awesome.
