I just got a used Remus DTM for my 323i sedan.
I have few questions- first of all, I have no body kit. will this fit on the regular bumper without melting it? Second question is, the chrome tipe has some deep scratches and dings that I sort of buffed out. only problem is the chrome layer is gone for that part. will this rust? I know remus is not stainless steel. what would it cost to get it chromed again and are there places that do it? Please help!

Hmmmm...people have reported rusting problems. While others say it's fine. Maybe it's just at the weld points?
Anyway, if it's stainless steel, I guess the tip won't rust if it's stainless.
Any thoughts on the tip? perhaps I can get it painted silver? or strip the paint altogather and polish it? is that even possible?

Can't put tips on it since it's DTM and welded on to the can
I called a Chrome plating place and they said it was 6 5 bucks.
I'm just gonna wait. As long as it doesn't rust, it's no big deal I guess
