I have been searching old threads... it seems this part has gone down in price progressively. Has anyone had to order one lately? I was leaning toward ebay but the only OEM one I can find is $215. I'm looking for OEM under $200. All help is appreciated. Trying to order asap so I can get it shipped here fast. Thank you all.

Please follow this link and tell me why there is no box at the top of the fan... I thought this was the resistor switch box??? I think that is whats out on my fan..... because I wired it to a hot and neg terminal and it kicks in on high... Do most fans come with the box at the top?? Please anyone explain this in more detail... Can I replace just the box??

Can you answer the question about the little box on the top of the fan that the small connector plugs into?

Can't you just switch the "box" over? That box is a sensor for the automatic climate control system. It senses outside air, analyzes for pollution, then closes/opens recirculation accordingly.

then why does the fan kick on fully when supplied direct power ?

Not sure we're talking about the same part. There's a plug for the fan with 4 heavy gauge wires going to it (power/ground/etc) and then there's a black box up top with four small gauge wires (this is the sensor i'm talking about)
