Burning smell after hard acceleration....

i'm wondering if it is normal to smell something sort of "burnt" after flooring the car for a around 5~6 seconds?

it seems like its comming from the engine bay through the AC/heater....

anyone experience this? :dunno:

i have a step 323i....

did you just get the oil changed? Maybe the tech leaked some on the engine, when it gets hot it smells.

i have that same problem its just your oil that had been dropped on the engine burning

dont worry about it. if you have to add extra oil every few days, thats a problem, i have to add oil every 4 to 5 weeks. bmw's have a habit of going through oil

I get it too... at least it isn't my clutch. I think it's a combo of my tires burning from chirps and my oil.
