Any ideas why this is happening.. its not from the wiring of my system because it never happened when i did all that and nothing has changed. I don't know why the brake lights won't turn off when the car is on... someone help, i'm going to get pulled over and its going to make me angry

I think there was a recall on a faulty brake light control module on the earlier E46's that would cause the brake lights to stay on. Might want to call your dealer.

unless ur dealer is real cool with u, they will charge u to even look at it, if u have touched the wiring back there.

this happend exactly the same with me, im not really sure what the problem was, but i just called up a electrical guy, and he fixed it in 30 mins. now its all good! if u dont know any electrical guy, i suggest u should go to the dealer before u get pulled over.

Hey just by any chance do you possibly remember what exactly the electrician did to your car? Im having this problem and nobody seems to be able to figure it out.
