Hoping for some help... 2002 E46 convertible

It has become very cold where I live (10-20 degrees) and the key fobs seemed to be getting slower to respond. Now both key fobs are not working at all - no response from car. I tried to resync several them but no response from car. They start the car fine. I have a non "home link" mirror. Wondering if it could be the FZV antenna amplifier. But even when I put the keys close to it (mirror), no response.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

batteries in fobs no longer charging i bet..
not an easy replacement. either will have to buy a new key/fob or find the DIY on replacing the ones in yours.

The Indy shop in my area repairs them for a flat $50. Check around. One of mine had a wire break at a solder point.
