Indeed. Lots of variables. Even how the car is strapped down can make a difference. I'd assume only being a software change the car never left the dyno. It's important that the fluids all be at operating temp.Dyno results can be misleading at best without back up data.
I would want dyno results with the following overlaid: Ambient Temp, Humidity, Intake Air Temp, Engine Coolant Temp and Ignition Timing. IMHO without at least these items, I would say even a few pulls from the same session could vary and if the additional data is available then this could help explain variations.
I also do not like A-B comparisons from different days on the dyno.
Lots of variables that need to either be controlled and/or corrected for or to at least understand the different conditions the tests were performed under.
As for using the Shark injector, you REALLY need to update the stock DME software to the latest DME software BEFORE using the Shark injector. BMW has screwed up ignition timing Maps for the original DME flash and tools like the Shark injector tweak the timing stock ignition timing Map, so understand that Garbage In = Garbage Out!!
