I have been using Mdecoder for years and suddenly it no longer works.

It displays a message about daily limit reached (even if I haven't used it recently, and even if I clear my browser etc)

They seem to be monetizing it, because the "professional" new.mdecoder.com only requires an email for access and then prompts you to buy credits

It's the site owners right to charge for their service, but my searches are 90% just for fun/interest sake so I'm not willing to pay.

Anyone have another site that will decode BMW vins?

I just tried mdecoder.com and it worked very fast and accurately. Something is very intermittent about it though. I was using Safari on an iPad7. Yesterday other people were having trouble with mdecoder on another thread.

I also have a website mdecoder.com it works. There may be technical problems on the site. But I have been using it for a long time and it has always worked for me.

I ran into the same error. The only thing I can think of is they are discourAging people from using it for mass vin checks. I waited a week and it worked but when I started doing multiple vins again the error cam up.
