The document is date 1990. This information should also be included in your warranty contract and you should review both to assure there are no changes.

The key words in the policy is that it "In addition, you must be
made aware that such nonapproved modifications and installations may effect the validity of the BMW Warranty and will be contrary to your obligations under the Dealer Agreement.".

They can't say that it will void your warranty. That has to determinted individually and through BMWNA who holds the contract with the buyer and not the dealer. The dealer can only make a determination that it possibly is related to a aftermarket component.
