In recent BMW CAR issue .... they said that BMW is thinking about getting away from William F1 team and starting a 100% in house team like Ferrari because Williams rejected BMW's offer on gaining more control of the company...

also, BMW wants the F1 championship by 2004 and if they stay with Williams I dout it will happen because as it sits now BMW is way behind on catching Ferrari....

you guys see that race where MS finished 56seconds ahead of everyone???

I dont think it is possible for Williams to win either championships in few years. But it could be possible to win when Williams solves the problems between the drivers and starts using "Team Oder- 1st & 2nd driver"

I think you can remember what were happened in 2002 USGP. Ferraris finished side-by-side; Williams collided with each other. Just my $0.02.:eeps:

But i love the BMW Williams team!!

Iam a big tifosi and ferrari is in my blood

But since I love BMW's my team is the Williams teams even if they need more maturesness when it come to race tactics.

Owell we can just wait, but i dont think that williams will win anything this year, in my opinion its probably going to be about the same as this year.

1.Schumacher
2.Montoya
3.Rubens??

williams has been struggling for mad long, their problems go farther back than just team orders issues... BMW has the capability of playing on the level of ferrari, and are probly the only team that can make a formidable charge, but only if they ditch williams IMO.

I'd have to agree with brendan. Im no expert by any means, but every F1 race critic has been saying that Williams needs better suspension and tires for like a year now. Team order will work itself out. Yet Williams has done nothing but make a faster engine, which is all good and all, but if the car can't hold it together than what is the point???
I love williams, and i obvoiusly love BMW, but "the two dont mix like 2 guys with no chicks" - Biggie

just my $0.02,

I dnt think BMW will do ANYTHING if they go alone, they are under the impression that it is easy to run an F1 team, right now they only produce the engine of which they are doing better than anyone, but the engien has nothign to do with it sauber have Ferrari's F2001 engine i dnt see them winning any championships.

they need to sort themselves out the current chassi they had ate the tires liek no bodies buisness.

and Montoya is a great driver but i still think he is too much of a kid, remember what happened in Brazil, he ruined all his chances just coz he was dumb!

F1 race team need alot of money.
VAG auto group been having talks about entering the F1 races with one of their brands.

if VAG group enters, it is going to be nasty for teams like willians, Ferraris.
F1 is an expensive game.. and VW have the money to play.

it is sad that money is the key for the F1 races..
just my 2 cent.

when it is motorsport talent comes second money comes first.

I was thinking toyota will do really good, but I have not seen anything really spectacular from toyota yeah.

I think BMW ought to switch and supply engines to McLaren. I'm surprised Ron Dennis hasn't tried that already since he stole Honda from Williams in '88 . I would hate to see the manufacturers take over in F1. It has always been a small specialist dominated sport. Sounds too much like Nascar. Besides, if Toyota and Jaguar are any indication, the big manufacturers don't know crap about chassis development.

it is their 1st year..
give them some time ..
I was suprice how poor they did..
it is sad.. after putting so much money into their first car, they had to chance so much of the original design to TRY to keep up with the rest of the cars.. and they still can't keep up.

I highly doubt BMW will have its own F1 team. Not saying that they are not capable of having one, but Toyota already took the last spot available for a F1 team. So, if BMW really wants a team, they'll have to buy a team out. (This is what VAG is facing right now.) Frankly, I dont think BMW will do that because building a new successful team is long process.

IMHO, I don't see why BMW "really" needs to win a F1 championship. It's not like super-rich folks are going to stop buying Ferrari & head over to a BMW dealer. BMW is doing fine at the moment (better than Jaguar, & Mercedes-Benz). Winning a F1 championship wouldn't really prove that BMW is the best or anything like that, as those cars are very different from what the consumer gets.
