Hi Everyone, I need E46 preferably powerful engine, coupe, manual transmission. Colors Black, White, Orange, Silver!
I don't have much money (no more then 5000), that's why I am staying away from M3, but I would love to. I live in LA, California!

Appreciate your help!

Actually I love this forum, everybody is so friendly!

Looking forward hearing from you! Thanks

Weren't you asking about that other piece of junk 323i "HAMMAN EDITION" from craigsllist.com earlier? Also, not to be an ahole but a BMW for $5,000 is going to be a little challenging. You will find ones that need work here and there in that price range though.

$5000 is a bit low.
Try to look for a 2001 or later 325i. Get a sedan instead. Coupe cost more.
stay away from 1999-2000. Especially 328. Those cars have a huge subframe failure rate which basically totals the car when it happens.

This.

I saved my 02 325ci from the wholesale line at a dealership I work at. I paid them the $7k we took it in trade for and it was pretty ROUGH. Ended up putting another $2500 into it right away to get everything in order.

Though my neighbor is selling her 323 sedan for like 5k if your interested.

A good way to save money is to buy a high mileage 323i from 1999 or 2000 for only $3000-4000.
then immediately put $500-1000 on a subframe reinforcement kit and welding. Plus $1000 for all other needed majntainence. Then you got yourself a reliable basic e46 that will last a long time.

It was me, I know you are right, but I really wan't BMW now, I am currently driving infiniti fx35 sport, I like it, but I miss my M3 (e36)

I know e36 will be killed now, that's why trying to find e46, likely coupe! i know I will spend on the car that I will get for 5000, but anyways most of the times you have to spend on used cars you buy! ( so trying to get cheaper, so I can fix and tune it my way) I hope you understand what am I talking about!

Thanks for advice, anything new, let me know. Thanks again!!!

So you probably need to drop some of your requirements. For instance, if you want powerful, coupe with manual transmission you could go with http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=914263. At $16,300, it is slightly on the high end of your budget, but it does say negotiable :)

I realize that this next one is a sedan, but it is well within your budget at $4,500 it's a steal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-05-BMW-E...Cars&hash=item1df3b8a35&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_1065.

This next one meets all your requirements (except isn't an E46): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995...Cars_Trucks&hash=item3f160aa80d#ht_500wt_1090

My point is you have options!

Good luck

Luke
