Hi, I've been having trouble with my front passenger side turn signal. Then my xenon lights started to dip and flicker. I found the taillight ground repair thread and just did the bypass wire this weekend. Sure enough, the ground pin on the connecter to the passenger side taillight, wire 3 (ground) was toast--a little blackened stump. The repair was tricky 'cause my taillight doesn't have the little stub sticking out of the metal plate that is easy to attach a clip to; but I was able to make it work with a spring clip thing that I had in my toolbox.
BTW, this wire came off yesterday, and that triggered a MAF wiring fault and CEL (code 102). I reset that ground wire today and again: no headlight flicker, turn signal works, no MAF fault or stalling.
BUT: mine is a 2011 330i, not included in the recall notice. I wonder if my 'friends' at the BMW dealer might cut me a break?
