Hi guys, my 323ci is fitted out with chrome window trims, anyone have a tutorial or a brief explanation of how to take.them.off and put them back on?
are you able to buy black versions of them? I haven't found anything

Best to either wrap them or prep and paint them if you want to change the color.

I think the black ones without the Chrome are much cheaper.

I've debated going that route.

The price of the upper trims are insane, just vinyl wrap them. Mine held up for about 8 years, i need to re-wrap them.

Lower trims you can replace them with non-chrome ones. Matte ones are a lot cheaper than the chrome or shadowline.

Yes the uppers are worth the cost of most e46s.

The non chrome lower strips are half the price. Always wondered how it would look with the upper chrome still installed.

I removed and painted mine. Looks like shadowline. Proper prep is the key. They are held on by Phillips head screws, just pull off the interior seal and you’ll see them.

I had mine painted about 10 yrs ago at a body shop and they still look good. Was around $500 IIRC.

OP lives in a country where they sold M-Sport, so he should be able to find a used set of shadowline trim or part out for fairly cheap.

I would vinyl wrap it or take the time to paint and remember the time prepping will determine the outcome.

Use Vinyl. It's easy and affordable. Plenty of videos on YouTube, if you have not done it before.

Chrome Delete.
