I am setting up my dedicated 2001 M3 dedicated track car to run in NASA GTS-3. The car has full suspn mods, diff, tune, cage, exhaust etc but until now I haven't seen a need to change from stock clutch. My goal is to have less rev "hang" time for easier downshifting and possibly better acceleration with less rotating mass, and some weight loss to free up where I choose to put the mass would be welcome. I want good reliability. I have heard that true "race" clutches have a very limited lifespan expectancy. I have heard that the Bimmerworld strapless is compromised because it was created to comply with certain racing class rules that won't affect me in NASA.

I am looking for opinions for the best options - Bimmerworld strapless, or other? What clutch life can I expect?

Thanks
